Transatlantic Search was founded by Roger Heid after years advising European-headquartered companies on senior leadership appointments in North America. Over time, he saw a consistent pattern: cross-border appointments succeed when cultural fluency, governance maturity, and disciplined selection are treated as core requirements, not afterthoughts.
Driven by a long-lasting passion for the executive search industry and the impact leadership decisions have on company performance and people’s lives, he built Transatlantic Search as an independent boutique firm designed for select, high-stakes mandates.
Every mandate is led personally by a partner and grounded in a structured Success Profile, disciplined market mapping, and clear decision logic. We combine qualitative judgment with quantitative analysis to deliver evidence-based shortlists and support integration and onboarding, including onboarding and leadership coaching through a curated independent partner network when beneficial.
